Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Dietproductselectinfo, an editorial publication operated from Place du Marché 55, Bordeaux and accessible at dietproductselectinfo.info, uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you read our articles and browse our content.
By continuing to use our website, you consent to the use of cookies as described in this policy. You may withdraw or adjust your consent at any time using the methods described in the Managing Cookies section below.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device — computer, tablet, or smartphone — when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to website owners about how readers interact with their content.
Cookies do not typically contain information that personally identifies you, but personal information that we store about you may be linked to the information stored in and obtained from cookies. Cookies can be "persistent" (remaining on your device until deleted or expired) or "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser).
Types of Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary
These cookies are essential for the website to function properly. They enable core features such as page navigation, security, and access to protected areas. The site cannot operate correctly without them.
Analytics
Analytics cookies help us understand how readers interact with our editorial content — which articles are most read, how long readers stay on a page, and how they navigate between sections. This data is anonymised and used only to improve our publication.
Preference / Functional
These cookies remember choices you make — such as your preferred language or region — to provide a more personalised reading experience. They are not used to track your browsing activity on other websites.
Third-Party
Some content or utilities embedded in our articles may set cookies from third-party domains (e.g. embedded video players, social sharing buttons). These cookies are governed by the respective third party's own privacy and cookie policies.
How We Use Cookies
As an editorial publication focused on nutrition, wellness, and diet information, we use cookies strictly to support the delivery of quality content. Specifically, we use cookies to:
-
✓
Ensure the website loads correctly and pages function as intended for all readers visiting from different devices and browsers.
-
✓
Measure and analyse reading behaviour — such as which health and diet articles attract the most readers — in order to guide our editorial team in producing relevant, high-quality content.
-
✓
Remember your cookie consent preference so we do not display the consent banner on every visit.
-
✓
Detect technical errors and monitor the performance of our website to ensure a reliable experience for our readers.
-
✓
Support social sharing functionality embedded within our editorial articles so readers can share content they find informative.

Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can exercise your cookie preferences in the following ways:
Cookie Consent Banner
When you first visit our site, a cookie consent banner allows you to accept all cookies or customise your preferences by category. You can revisit these choices at any time.
Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings menu. You can configure your browser to block all cookies, accept only first-party cookies, or notify you when a cookie is being set. Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect website functionality.
Opt Out of Analytics
To opt out of Google Analytics tracking specifically, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, which prevents data from being sent to Google Analytics.
Legal Basis for Cookie Use
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable French data protection law, our use of cookies is based on:
-
Art. 6(1)(f)
Legitimate interests — for strictly necessary cookies required to deliver and secure the website.
-
Art. 6(1)(a)
Consent — for analytics, preference, and third-party cookies, which are only set after you provide explicit consent via our cookie banner.
